Terms of sale
Version 1.0, in force since 26 October 2026. This is a translation: the French version prevails.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the sale of the paid services offered on halveos.com: the Halveo Plus subscription, and the Schools and Business plans. They apply to every purchase. The customer confirms having read and accepted them before paying.
Schools and Business plans are quoted individually. The specific terms of the accepted quote prevail over these terms.
2. Provider
The services are provided by Darmi Vault, the trade name of Diaw Younouss Fadel, sole trader, Appartement 327, 129 boulevard Davout, 75020 Paris, France. Registration: 994 531 994 R.C.S. Paris. SIRET: 994 531 994 00014. Email: contact@halveos.com. Phone: +33 6 58 02 38 04.
3. The Halveo OS system
Halveo OS is provided free of charge. It is made of free and open source software, each under its own licence, listed in the legal notice. No licence to use it is sold: the price of paid plans only pays for the services described in section 4.
4. Services
Halveo Plus
- Email support at contact@halveos.com, with a first reply within 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding French public holidays).
- One remote help session of up to one hour, for installation or getting started, at a time agreed together. The session uses a screen-sharing tool that you accept at the start of the session and can stop at any time.
Support covers Halveo OS and the software it includes by default. It does not cover hardware repairs or software you install yourself later, although we do our best to point you in the right direction.
Schools and Business plans
The content (system image, deployment, training, response times), the number of computers, the term and the price are set out in the quote.
5. Prices
Halveo Plus costs €29 per year. The Schools plan costs €3 per computer per year, subject to the quote. Business plan prices are set by quote.
Prices are in euros. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of purchase.
6. Order and payment
To subscribe to Halveo Plus, click “Subscribe” in the Plans section. You reach a secure payment page that shows the service, its price and a link to these terms. There you choose whether the service starts right away or after the fourteen-day withdrawal period. You can also write to contact@halveos.com to receive a payment link.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Darmi Vault never collects or stores card details. The contract is concluded when payment is confirmed. You then receive an email confirming the service, its price, its term and these terms, together with your invoice.
For Schools and Business plans, the contract is concluded when the quote is signed or the purchase order is received. Payment is made by bank transfer within 30 days of the invoice, unless the quote states otherwise. Late payment by a business customer incurs penalties at the European Central Bank rate plus 10 percentage points, and a fixed €40 collection fee (article L. 441-10 of the French Commercial Code).
7. Term
Halveo Plus runs for one year from the conclusion of the contract. It does not renew automatically: one month before it ends, we offer you a renewal. Without an answer from you, it ends on the planned date.
The remote help session must be used during the subscription.
8. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving any reason (articles L. 221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code).
To withdraw, send a clear statement before the end of this period to contact@halveos.com or by post to the address in section 2. You may use the withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. We acknowledge your request by email.
We refund you within fourteen days of receiving your request, using the payment method you used, at no cost.
You may ask for the services to start before the end of the withdrawal period. In that case, if you then withdraw, you only pay for the services provided until your withdrawal, in proportion to the total price (article L. 221-25). If the services have been fully provided before the end of the period, at your express request and after you acknowledged that you would lose your right, you can no longer withdraw (article L. 221-28, 1°).
9. Delivery of services
Darmi Vault provides the services with care and in line with good professional practice. To help you, we may ask for your computer model, screenshots or error messages.
Before any installation, back up your files to an external drive. Installing an operating system can erase a disk if the option you choose does so. Before each sensitive step, we always tell you what will be changed.
During a remote session, we only act on your computer with your consent, and we do not look at your personal files beyond what is necessary.
10. Liability
Darmi Vault is responsible for the proper performance of the services, unless a failure is caused by you, by a third party or by force majeure. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.
For business customers, Darmi Vault’s liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, capped at the amount paid for the service concerned over the last twelve months, except in the case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Legal guarantees
The digital services provided benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity under articles L. 224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code. If a service is not as described, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity free of charge or, failing that, to a price reduction or to end the contract.
12. Termination
If either party seriously fails to meet its obligations, the other may terminate the contract fifteen days after a formal notice, sent by email or post, has had no effect. If termination is caused by Darmi Vault, the part of the price for the remaining period is refunded to you.
13. Personal data
The information you send us (name, email address, details about your computer, support exchanges) is used only to perform the contract, invoice you and meet our accounting obligations. Invoices are kept for ten years. You can exercise your rights of access, correction and deletion at contact@halveos.com. Details are in the privacy policy.
14. Complaints and mediation
Complaints can be sent to contact@halveos.com. We reply within ten business days.
If your written complaint is not resolved, you can refer it free of charge to Darmi Vault’s consumer mediator, no later than one year after the complaint: Société Médiation Professionnelle, rue Marc Sangnier, 33130 Bègles, France, mediateur-consommation-smp.fr.
15. Language and governing law
These terms are written in French and translated into English. If the versions differ, the French version prevails. They are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory, more protective rules of the consumer’s country of habitual residence. For business customers, the courts of Paris have sole jurisdiction.
